Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of RV services do you handle on a regular basis?

+

At RV Service Guys, we take care of most day-to-day RV problems that people run into. A lot of our calls are for water heaters that stop heating, leaks that show up out of nowhere, AC units that struggle in the Texas heat, and brake or bearing work before a trip.

We also do electrical repairs and general troubleshooting. If something inside your RV is acting strange or not running the way it should, there is a good chance we have worked on it before.

Do I need to bring my RV to you, or do you come out to the site?

+

Most people prefer that we come to them, and that is exactly what we do. We are a mobile service, so you do not have to hitch up and tow your RV just to get a small repair done.

Whether you are at home, at a park, or parked long-term, we try to make things as easy as possible by working directly at your location. It saves time, and honestly, it prevents people from driving around with something half-broken.

How do you handle water heater issues?

+

Water heaters give trouble in a bunch of different ways. Sometimes the heat is weak, sometimes they leak, and sometimes they just quit without warning. We look at the whole setup like the power, the burner, the tank, the connections and figure out what is actually going wrong.

In many cases, a repair is enough. If the unit is too old or has rusted out, then we install a new one so you get hot water again without fooling around with temporary fixes.

What is your approach to tracking down water leaks in an RV?

+

Leaks can be frustrating because the water never shows up exactly where the problem is. It might be a roof seam, a cracked fitting, a window, or something deep in the plumbing.

We walk through the RV slowly, check the common trouble spots, and then test things one by one until we know for sure where the water is coming from. Once the source is clear, we seal it properly and check the surrounding area to make sure the leak has not caused hidden damage.

Can you take care of brake and bearing service?

+

Yes, and it is something we recommend people do regularly. RVs carry a lot of weight, and if the bearings are dry or the brakes are worn down, the whole rig feels unsafe on the road.

We clean, repack, replace, and adjust whatever needs attention so the wheels turn smoothly and the brakes grab the way they should. It is one of those jobs that seems small but makes a big difference when you are towing long distances.

What do you do when an RV AC stop cooling well?

+

Texas heat exposes every weak AC unit by mid-summer. When we check an AC, we look at airflow, refrigerant issues, filters, electrical connections, and the general age of the unit.

Sometimes the fix is simple. Sometimes the AC has reached the point where replacing it is smarter and more affordable long-term. Either way, we explain the options before we do anything.

Do you work on electrical issues inside the RV?

+

Yes. RV electrical problems can be small things like lights flickering, or bigger things like the 12V system not charging or the power converter acting up.

We check the wiring, grounding, fuses, batteries, and power supply to figure out what is failing. Electrical work is one of those areas where people prefer not to guess, so we make sure everything is safe and working the way it should.

What are your working hours?

+

We keep steady hours through the week so people can plan around us. Monday through Friday, we are available from morning until the late afternoon. On Saturdays, we open for a shorter window because a lot of RV owners want quick service before a weekend trip.

Sundays are off, unless there is some unusual situation and the schedule allows it.

How can someone book a service call?

+

Calling the shop is the easiest way because we can get the details right away and figure out where you are located.

If calling is not convenient, sending an email works too. Once we know the problem, we give a time frame, confirm the area, and head out to you.

You can find all our contact information on our Contact Us page.

What would you say sets your service apart from other repair options?

+

People tell us that what they like most is the way we explain things. RV problems can sound complicated, and nobody wants a repair bill they do not understand. We take the time to show what went wrong and why.

The other big thing is experience. We have worked on enough RVs to spot patterns quickly, so you do not lose days waiting on a simple fix. It is a reliable, straight-up service without hidden costs.
